Her early career focused on stage management and performing arts administration for theatre and dance companies. She subsequently transitioned to the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR), where she served as a Human Resources and Labor Relations Liaison. Dr. Prakash has served in the U.S. Army Reserves for over six years with a medical support unit that has been involved in humanitarian missions and has provided medical support to troops and civilians.
